May 6th Giveaway #2

I'm so excited to be participating in Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day.  I am doing two giveaways.  You can find my first giveaway for a vintage pattern by clicking here.

I have two copies of this lovely book, Quilts from the Quiltmaker's Gift, so I thought I'd give away one of them.  This book is used but in great condition.  Inside the front cover the book is described as, "20 traditional patterns for a new generation of generous quiltmakers."

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment stating your favorite homemade gift from a generous person.  Also, consider becoming a follower.  It isn't a requirement for this giveaway, but look around and if you like what you see, please follow.

This is open until May 10th at 5 p.m. Pacific Standard time.  This book will ship to U.S. residents only.  Good luck.

  12. My grandmother made quilts for all her grandchildren [I was #26 and not the last] and I loved mine and used it until I wore it out. I can't remember much about it, aside from it being brown, I think the patches were large, and I loved the feel of it.

  15. When I was 10, my mother spent weeks before Christmas sewing an entire trousseau for my Barbie while I was at school. There were at least a dozen dresses, two fur coats, a dozen blouses, and as many slacks and skirts, pajamas, nightgowns, a robe, and a pink and white lace wedding dress. I can't imagine how many hours it must have taken her!

  27. Well that's fun; I'd love to get this book from the library to read to my son then make some of the quilts! I am blessed with a handcrafty family, and have a hard time choosing one thing. My son is now playing with toys and wearing clothes that my mom, dad & grandpa made me and my brother when we were kids. Perhaps my college graduation gift: mom made a quilt from the scraps of the clothes she'd sewn me as a kid.
